A project represents a job and its set of certification documents regarding the energy efficiency of the dwelling.
Building department officials have the ability to view projects within their department's jurisdiction. Using the registry they can easily search for and examine a project on CalCERTS to see the job's progress. The building department should use this functionality to grant permits, final inspection, and certificates of occupancy.

Where are my projects?
Access your company's projects by clicking on the Projects button on the left-side menu, then selecting one of the options. Most projects are either going to be New Construction - Residential or Alterations - Residential.
Projects vs Plans
Plans are not the same as projects. A plan is merely the CF-1R section of a project; this plan can be distributed to other companies or uploaded into projects. Plans cannot be viewed and checked by building department representatives, but correctly-labeled projects can.
