The forms in CalCERTS are written to comply with the California Energy Commission's energy codes. These energy codes update approximately every three years. The date the building permit was applied-for (not issue date) by the building department determines the code year standard for your project. Please note that a site permit is not a building permit.
Clicking the plus icon will create a project for the corresponding year standard.
If you do not have a permit for your job yet, your project will be under the current code year standard.
If the application for a permit came before January 1st, 2017 (but after 7/1/14), your project is under 2013 code year standards.
If the application for a permit came before July 1st, 2014, your project is under 2008 code year standards.
2005 projects should only be created under direction from the building department and under very specific circumstances.
