The CalCERTS registry has two kinds of document containers or "jobs": Projects and the CF-1R Registration Bin.
A Project can contain CF-1Rs, CF-2Rs, and CF-3R documents. These are located in the Projects bin on the left-side toolbar. When creating a project you have some additional options such as the company controlling the project can share the project with other companies if needed. If a project is created and the CF-1R is uploaded directly to that project, you avoid possible CF-1R transfers later on, such as if the CF-1R was uploaded to the Bin.
The CF-1R Registration Bin contains only CF-1R information. These are located in your CF-1R Registration Bin on the left-side toolbar. Plans can only be transferred (to other companies or into projects) and deleted.
CF-1Rs in the Bin cannot be shared like a project. However, the Documentation Author and Responsible Designer (and their companies) selected on a plan will automatically have access to the plan, allowing it to be signed by outside companies without truly sharing the project. View this article for more details about "sharing" plans.
CF-1Rs in the Bin must be transferred into projects at some point in order to create CF-2Rs and CF-3R documents based on the plan.
